This morning we were blessed with a visit from Bishop Mark and Jane for our service at St Annes. + Mark led the service with support from Julia who led the prayers, Norma as Deacon & Ann reading.
We were still 2 metres distant & had to sing behind masks (may that all change soon) but it was still a joyous celebration.
Thankfully the rain held off as people left taking a moment to thank +Mark for coming and for his sermon.
Our next live service will be the reopening of St James for our patronal festival on 25th July. This will also be our annual ‘gift day’ and weather and covid restrictions permitting we hope to have coffee & cake in the Parsonage garden after the service.
