This morning we participated in joyful worship for Harvest Festival at St James the Great in Dingwall. The church was beautifully decorated with produce and flowers (thanks to Janet, Denise & Penny for their work) and members of the congregation brought many offerings to be donated to the local food bank.
We also took the opportunity to congratulate Laura who has recently graduated from the Highland Theological College with a first in Theology and is now embarking on training for the Ministry.
Also recognised today was Mary who stood down from Vestry in July but who has given over twenty years of faithful service to the church fulfilling various roles on Vestry. Her long and faithful service is much appreciated.
Below are some photos of the church taken this morning showing decorations and donations & of Barbara giving the sermon.
Update Mon 27th.
Following our service on Sunday Janet delivered what was left of the produce from the Church to Strathallan Residential Home and they were effusive in their thanks and asked her to say thank you to the Church. She also delivered all the goods to the Blythswood Foodhub, together with £50 for the produce, and they were also delighted.
A big thank you to all who contributed.
